Stock Market Outlook for September 28, 2021

The Markets

Stocks closed mixed as portfolio managers conduct their final trades to rebalance their portfolios ahead of the end of the quarter.  The S&P 500 Index shed just less than three-tenths of one percent, remaining pinned to levels around the 50-day moving average.  Previous long-term trend channel support that was broken at the start of last week is in a position of resistance.  The rising 100-day moving average at 4340 continues to support the bullish trend in the market.
