The Markets
Stocks closed mixed on Monday as technology continued to benefit from end-of-quarter rotation at the expense of core-cyclical bets. The S&P 500 Index added just less than a quarter of one percent, charting yet another record closing high. Momentum indicators have turned higher following last week’s advance with MACD and RSI still showing action that is characteristic of a bullish trend, holding predominantly above their middle lines. The benchmark continues to be bounded by rising trendline support around 4200 and rising trendline resistance around 200-points higher at 4400. The early June peak around 4250 is in a position of short-term support.
